Love it or hate it, Ai is the future. With companies spending nearly $20 billion a year, and government-funded research now a common thing, Ai is the future. As mentioned in one of my previous articles (is Ai really what you thought it was), Ai taking over the world might not be where humanity is headed.
Ai is capable of doing practically anything nowadays, from being a virtual chatbox to managing companies’ inventory, but did you know you can get Ai to produce music for you just with a smartphone! Well, in this article I’m going to show you how!
How to get Ai to produce music for you
I came across this website over three hours ago, and have been enjoying testing it out none stop! 😁
To get started, head over to https://aiva.ai/ and sign up.
After submitting your email address, you’ll receive an email with a link to finish the account creation. After clicking on the link, create a password and then you’ll be given an option to select the type of user and to view a tutorial.
Unfortunately Medium doesn’t allow GIFs or Audio embeds, so to see the final results, or for the original article with the visual tutorial, you can check it out on my website here: https://kilabyte.org/get-ai-to-produce-music-for-you/
Producing the music
Now that your account is set up and verified, you’ll be greeted with an empty track screen, so let’s create your first track.
To get started, click on “Create Track”. Then on the popup, you’ll be able to select from the preset styles, change to advanced view, or even upload your own style!
I’m going to select Orchestra, after you’ve selected your music style, you’ll be taken to a screen with multiple options including track length, emotion and the number of compositions you want the Ai to create. I’ve selected 😭 + 1'30–2'00 + 2 Compositions.
Once you’ve selected the setting, give the Ai a minute to do its work, and voilà!
The Magic
If you’re not convinced by Ai’s capabilities, there are three awesome tracks I generated and are attached to the original post here.
Editing the results
Aiva Ai includes a full inbuilt editor, so you can make your composition truly pitch-perfect! To access the editor, just right click on any of the compositions and click on “Open in Editor”.
From here, you can tweak or fully redo the selected parts or even the entire composition. For a full tutorial on how to use the editor, check out Aiva’s tutorial here.
If you want to see how Ai can blog for you, check out this article over here. Do you think Ai produced music will ever take over manually composed ones?
